At ThornForest, our rooms are so much more than a bed and a bathroom. Light and airy, our luxury en-suite rooms are a respite. A place to relax, reflect on the day’s safaris and adventures and rest up for new day trips, sightings and wild experiences.
We are committed to environmental sustainability and maintaining a clean environment. Our approach includes utilizing hybrid solar power and on-site water storage systems to ensure uninterrupted services, even during utility outages. This reflects our service-oriented mindset, aimed at providing comfort amidst the African Bushveld.
Our Suites
We have four suites with top-quality and beautifully embroidered linen that matches the name of each room, and adds the finishing touch to the distinct ‘Out of Africa’ flair. Mosquito nets, air-conditioning and WIFI are standard features, and our adjoining bathrooms are spacious and modern, with a large shower, basin and toilet.
Each suite offers access to its own private balcony adorned with handmade African wicker chairs, perfect for savouring your first sip of coffee amidst the beauty of ThornForest’s resident bird and animal life, or for enjoying a nightcap while listening to the wildlife.
Zebra Room
Entering the Zebra room from your private balcony adorned with handmade African wicker chairs, you’ll discover a cozy setting. This room features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and bathroom amenities. Additionally, there is a workspace equipped with a hairdryer, as well as a beverage station stocked with traditional South African rusks or homemade cookies. Guests will also find a mini-fridge provided with complimentary filtered water, which is large enough to accommodate any additional necessities you may have.

Upon entering the Impala room from your secluded balcony adorned with handmade African wicker chairs, you’ll discover a queen-size bed and a private bathroom featuring a generously sized walk-in shower and bathroom amenities. There’s a designated workspace with a hairdryer and beverage station offering traditional South African rusks or homemade cookies. Guests will also discover a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary filtered water, which is spacious enough to store any extra essentials.

Optional dinners: At ThornForest, we believe in crafting extraordinary experiences tailored to your desires. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked 2-course meal, including a main and dessert, that will delight your taste buds beneath the captivating African night sky, adorned with glittering stars.
