Discover Top Southern African Safaris, Sights and Activities

South Africa is recognized as a destination that offers guests from around the world a smorgasbord of choice – wildlife, safaris, mountains, beaches, accompanied by rich, diverse cultures and mouth-watering traditional foods, vibrant arts and crafts, and warm hospitality.

Marloth Park Side Note: is one of few places left in the world where wildlife and humans co-exist freely. This unique combination allows our guests the rare privilage of maybe being the focus of a curious giraffe’s gaze – right in our garden! It also means you can walk/ jog/ cycle along the dusty paths frequented by the local zebras, various antelope, warthogs and blue wildebeest. For some, it’s a bucket-list worthy experience!

Of course, the privilege comes with a responsibility to remember that our local animals are wild and should be treated with the utmost respect and consideration at all times for your mutual safety.

At ThornForest, our ideal location on the southern border of Kruger National Park, affords our guests the opportunity to experience ALL of the above in a choice of exciting safaris, day-trips and activities. These are just a few of the local highlights:
